Lena was recommended to us by our pediatrician to help my 11 year old oldest son with his severely limited eating habits that were affecting his health and overall wellbeing. It was also negatively affecting his younger brothers and the household dynamic around food and meals, not to mention extreme aggravation on my end. I didn’t see alot of hope for him. He would absolutely refuse point blank to try any food that wasn’t on his list of safe foods that he was accustomed to, unless it was a salty snack or sugary treat. He refused to sit at the table with his family if we were eating foods that grossed him out.

I didn’t have a lot of hope but decided to try working with Lena after the pediatrician told us that he must begin eating red meat for his brain health and that he was severely deficient in key nutrients.. Lena explained the program to us and her approach of working with the entire body and not just the aspect of his pickiness. We started implementing changes like more sunlight in key hours, adding different things to his smoothies that would positively impact his gut, including him in meal planning and grocery shopping, making a point for the entire family to sit together for dinner with all the food options at the table. Lena guided us on how to slowly shift from foods he was already comfortable eating, to slight differences in the preparation that wouldn’t be too challenging for him. Lena had tons of ideas for food preparations to help him easily become accustomed to new foods that were still familiar. For example, we shifted from frozen processed chicken nuggets to homemade gluten free, avocado oil fried chicken tenders and from there he has become much more interested in different chicken preparations. Working on his gut health and also addressing the deficiencies with supplements recommended by our pediatrician at the same time has transformed him into a more energetic and happy child. As he became healthier his mindset also shifted to being less afraid of trying new foods and with each new thing he tried, it’s become easier and easier to be open to new tastes and preparations. He now eats roasted vegetables, steak tacos, different kinds of chicken….this is mind blowing for anyone who knew the way he was eating before. The family dynamic is much healthier. He doesn’t complain about sitting at the table even if there is a food he still doesn’t like. He is no longer scared of food and he is also very proud of himself for his transformation. Lena guided us and was there with tips and tricks along the way. I would recommend this program to anyone who is struggling with a child with picky habits. It has changed our lives. We are so grateful.
