Desperately Seeking Celery

Well hello there gorgeous! Happy New Year 2019! The first month of the new year is almost over, which is hard to believe. I myself have just met a goal I set for myself 9 months ago and submitted a book proposal for a publishing contest.

I am over the moon for 2 reasons. I completed that goal, which was 15 years in the making.  I now feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulder, even though the writing of that book is far from over. I am also happy, because it will give me some more time to focus on writing this blog.

My goal for this year is to be very active online, hoping to share some great advice that has helped me along my healing journey. I hope that it will inspire you to look within and access your inner strength, that you didn’t know you had! And believe me, you have it. You are amazing, you just have to see it for yourself.

As with every new year, most of us set new goals and resolutions to make positive changes in our lives. I totally understand the trend and do support any positive changes we attempt to make. However, I personally don’t love the expectations behind new year’s resolutions myself because people typically set too large goals for themselves, setting them up for failure. As I mentioned in my previous blog post, Cracking the Goal Code, I think that setting small, achievable, and realistic goals is the way to go, rather than deciding we will go through a total metamorphosis, just because it’s a new year.

I am a huge proponent of drinking celery juice, as advised by the Medical Medium, Mr. Anthony William. He shares the magical benefits of drinking 16 oz. of celery juice on an empty stomach every morning. I have been struggling with psoriasis for over 2 decades and started to follow the Medical Medium because of his fresh approach and comprehensive information regarding the causes and treatment of my skin condition. Consequently, I switched to a plant-based diet and started drinking celery juice daily in March 2017. Since then, I had noted countless changes in my body and the disappearance of many symptoms such as brain fog, memory loss, fatigue, gut, and weight issues, bloating, and some positive skin changes.

I travel quite frequently, and after about 1 year of drinking the juice, I stopped following Anthony’s protocol. After just a few short weeks, I noted my symptoms coming back. I ignored them, not making the right connection in time and I was back to being fatigued and my brain fog was back in no time. As my skin condition intensified, I started to drink celery juice religiously again, in November 2018. I also started to make the recommended Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie at the beginning of this month.

I mention this here because I wanted to show how a little change, like drinking a glass of juice can have such a profound impact on your health. You don’t have to set goals that are the size of Mount Everest in order to change your life. You can start one glass at a time.

I was frantic at the beginning of the month, because celery was sold out in every supermarket in my area. I only drink organic celery, since it is part of the dirty dozen. I assume, that the celery juice trend is catching on, and many people made the resolution to completely change their diet and start the celery juice protocol. As expected, not everyone continued with the healthy dietary changes, and now I no longer desperately seek celery, since it is again restocked in my local supermarkets.

I hope that whatever your New Year resolution was, you are on your way to reaching that life-changing goal. If you have already failed and started back with your old habits, don’t worry. Think about how you can make your goal smaller, more realistic, and start there. It doesn’t have to be a new year or a new month or a new week to bring positive changes in to our lives. The time to be happy is now.
